She couldn't help but give a small quiet laugh, charmed at the words as she followed. The flat was lovely, a sort of minimalistic style that seemed to both fit and go against what she knew of Blaise; but they had both had changed, it was quite possible it fit him better then she knew.
As his voice seemed to brighten Daphne almost seemed to stare at his back, a swirl of voices ran rampant in her mind, questions. She almost placed a hand over her abdomen but stopped; wondering if she would sound like that in eight months time or if it was a learned behavior rather then a natural one. "I bet she's beautiful. I haven't seen her in- what seems like forever." Daphne gave a small smile as she spoke, she'd never been thoroughly fond of children, but Ae-Cha has Blaise's daughter and that had been enough excuse for her.
She nearly went to ask another question, but stopped instead moving gracefully around a chair, dragging her fingers along the top spine as if to focus on that action rather then his face. It seemed strange suddenly that of all the people she was going to tell (besides her family) Blaise would be the first; but it somehow seemed right as well. He had been what many considered her first love and perhaps even now was still one of her dearest friends. And all of her Slytherin classmates she trusted him the most, which was to say, a lot.
Taking a seat, she tugged at the pleated folds of her skirt, trying to distractedly smooth the material over the laced tights as she crossed her legs. The distraction wasn't enough and she leaned forward in the chair nearly sitting on the edge of it watching him as he poured the whiskey. "Only a small glass for me." She spoke quietly before moving on, "what is it like, being a parent? You were so young- we both are still very young... It seems- so much responsibility for such youth." It may not have sounded it, but she knew her words were not directed to him. She may have already made up her mind to keep the small life, but it didn't mean she was not still having doubts.
