WHO: Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood, an NPC Xenophilius WHEN: Tuesday, 22nd March, lunchtime WHERE: Luna's home, Ottery St. Catchpole WHAT: Neville stops by
The Rook was a hive of activity today. Since their permit had been granted, Xenophilius had kicked the production of the Quibbler's first issue back into overdrive. He was making dozens of Floo calls, holding interviews with various sources for articles in the issue. Luna was on a high too; the enthusiasm was infective. She floated around while her father zoomed, like a butterfly around a bee, and she worked on writing up articles after her father deposited interview transcripts on her desk.
After Luna finished up her reply to Neville in her journal, and making the finishing touches to an article about butterbeer recipes changing to replace the butter ingredient with a butter substitute that reportedly helped wizards lose weight, she stood from the desk and informed her father that she was having a visitor around. He distractedly nodded and waved to her as he interviewed a head in the fireplace about it's planned wedding to a hag, and the rights they were being denied. She made her way downstairs to the kitchen by the spiral wrought iron staircase, and pulled out the ingredients for the sandwiches.
She slowly made some ham and mustard sandwiches, contemplated adding a few Dirigible plums but decided that Neville already accepted the extraordinary well enough, and placed them on a plate, cutting them into small triangles. Luna took a few upstairs for Xenophilius, before returning to the kitchen and propping the front door open. She leant against the doorframe and waited patiently, looking out over the garden and then up to the sky, searching for another aeroplane.
