Mandy fought hard to pull away, she was turned on by the fact her was letting her kiss him. He had rejected her as a lover but she couldn’t deny the urge to touch him was still there and laying in a bed with him made it hard to remember she shouldn’t. Staring at him mutely, she listened to his words, not letting go of his arm where she traced the brand with her thumb. “Even the scars given to us by others dictating our futures are there for a reason, they remind us where we were and where we are going.” she said quietly, leaning against his side.
Sitting up in the bed, she decided that despite her need to stay for a little while longer, the world was calling her. Breakfast, the twins, her house and belongings. Turning to him, she smiled brightly. “Thank you, Draco.” She leaned forward and kissed him again, her lips pressed to his softly for a few moments before she drew away. She was preparing to pull off the blankets and rise when the door was thrown open and a chorus of childish greeting echoed through the room. Mandy was knocked backward onto the bed as a very exuberant Aidan launched himself at her and hugged her fiercely. She laughed brightly and hugged her children. “Good Morning Alex, Aidan.” she looked over at Alyssa. “Good Morning, Alyssa.”
