Harry didn't know how to answer the question. Hermione and Ron were both... Hermione and Ron. That meant a lot of awkward silence these days. Harry was used to them being awkwardly silent with each other, but with him... Things had changed, and not necessarily for the better. He couldn't help but think that he was already well on his way to losing every friend he'd ever made, even before publicly denouncing them in favour of the Ministry. The way he was now forced to see it, he had nothing left to lose. So why not pour himself into this plan until he couldn't even remember what he was leaving behind?
"I'm fine." And then, figuring that Draco Malfoy couldn't possibly be asking after his well-being, because since when did Malfoy care, added, "I've been practicing.
