“It would,” she told him in a completely serious tone. She felt she knew Michael a little better after the Incident the previous month and he’d moved firmly from ‘Steve’s friend’ to friend in his own right but she hadn’t gotten around to telling him that. Rose wondered how he would react if he knew she’d decided to claim him as a friend. There was a good chance he might laugh some more.
“I can see the appeal of it. Everyone’s so friendly and they treat me like an adult. They even give me alcohol!” Part of her – a small grudging part – could see what was so humorous about the situation but that didn’t mean she had to like it. “Do I want you to f..No! No, not at all!” Deciding to make the best possible use of his appearance, Rose slid her arm around him companionably and grinned. “You’re a Ravenclaw and I need you to teach me about the drinks they have here. I’ve tried the Tequila and something that was bubbly in a blue glass but there’s so many little bottles behind the bar and I don’t know what goes with what. Will you help me?” Astoria had Adrian – who had better be looking after the other girl – but Rose could use Michaels knowledge. “You can buy me a drink and I can buy you one back but you cannot, mustn’t tell Steve. Or Anthony. He thinks I’m at a spa.”
