Who: Astoria, Rose, Adrian, OPEN (Seriously!!) When: March 10, Late Where: Muggle Club, London What: Adrian takes two naive girls to a club. Oh dear.
Astoria looked in the mirror of the loo, her teeth worrying her bottom lip. She didn’t look bad in the dress Adrian picked out but there was no denying she looked different. She had spent half the morning finding a charm that would hide goosebumps as they made their way into the club. Now she had a thin layer of sweat covering her skin and her hair looked as if someone had spent an hour ruffling it up. The garment barely covered all of her thighs but she had to admit the heels made her legs look nice. She made sure her sticking charm was in working order so what little she did have in the chest area would stay were it belonged inside the dress, not that it seemed to be a problem with the way it clung to her after dancing for so long.
Putting the finishing touches on her hair she went over tongue twisters. She refused to stutter tonight, intent on not talking at all if that was the case. The last few days had been rough. She had half convinced herself that Daphne would come over begging for forgiveness by now but nothing. Astoria had the sinking suspicion that this time she had really lost her sister and she had no idea what to do about it. She was in the right and she would not act otherwise, her pride wouldn’t allow it. The fact that her mother still insisted that Daphne had a point…Astoria pulled her dress up a little further.
She had spent her life trying to be perfect for her mother, wanting nothing more than the woman’s approval. She sacrificed so much so that she could make up for her stutter, for the fact she could never be smart like Daphne. She skipped meals to stay small, she skipped teenage antics so that she could stay pure, she did everything she was told and for what? She could never compete with Daphne, not even when she got herself knocked up by some muggleborn scum. It was frustrating. It was infuriating. Astoria had done everything she could and for nothing. She knew tonight was a stupid idea, if Terence found out he would be so upset but she had to do this. She had break away from being the perfect little doll before she went mad. Proper Purebloods were spitting out bastard children like it was a new fad, a night out couldn’t possibly ruin her image for all eternity, especially in some random muggle establishment.
She wasn’t as nervous as she thought she would be. Astoria had no doubt that Adrian would help out if things got suspect. It was the first time in her life Astoria felt like she could be goofy without having to worry about what others thought. Who cared if a bunch of muggles thought her dress was too short? Besides, they were all looking at Rose. The other girl was downright stunning. Astoria knew she was beautiful in a way a painting is beautiful, lovely in its uniqueness. Rose was beautiful in an approachable way, in a way that made boys flock to her. She was tiny and delicate but with curves and features that made her absolutely sexy. Astoria was envious but more than anything she wished Terence could see. He’d be hard pressed not to want to date Rose in that dress. She left the loo, trying to spot where Rose and Adrian had gone off too. The club was packed and she couldn’t go anywhere with someone rubbing up against her. She had to admit muggle music wasn’t as bad as she thought it would be and the beer went down easier than she expected. “There you are! Come on, I want to try a shot. I hear that tequila is popular.”
