George stared at her a long moment, fingers tightening around his juice glass. "Al," he started, then shook his head. He wanted to ask her what he could do for her, for their friends, what more he could be doing to fight the boiling need within himself to fix this all somehow, to do something about the path they were all taking, to get them all out, and away, and safe from a Ministry he no longer trusted.
Instead, he just gave Alicia his own shrug and a small smile, and made an attempt to hide his feelings once again. "You wouldn't do half the things I asked you to do," he teased, smile widening though he didn't feel it.
