"His name's Dorothy?" Terence asked quirking a brow as he looked down at the kneazle. He hoped that the animal knew to keep its distance-- Terence wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with animals. And if seemed to be more concerned with Rose's cat than he was with his own breakfast, it was merely a sign of how tired terence was. Plus, if he hadn't been so groggy, he probably would have been a bit more tactful regarding teasing Rose over her kneazle's name.
"I'm fine with the cereal, thank you," Terence answered, and that question was certainly easier to answer than the one about Astoria. "Where're the spoons?" he asked, if only to get a bit more time to gather his thoughts. This whole situation was a bit surreal, and Terence felt a bit like he was intruding into Rose's space, but then she didn't seem to mind his presence in the kitchen. At least that was a good sign, now he just needed to decide how much of last night's row he needed to share with Rose.
But really, did Astoria keep secrets from Rose? Could she even keep something from her flatmate? "Oh no, nothing to fret over, Rose," Terence said, shaking his head. "She's sleeping now, but... Some things happened with Daphne last night. We had a bit of a spat," he explained, somewhat reluctantly. Terence didn't like the idea of airing out the family laundry, but Rose needed to know what was going on. Terence trusted her. "She just said some very unkind things to Astoria, got Astoria worked into one of her states, and I just wanted to be sure that she got some rest. I brought cocoa," he said, giving a nod toward the thermoses on the counter.
"And I think that Astoria's going to be working from home this week," Terence added pointedly, hoping that Rose would pick up on the fact that, yes, Astoria's stutter had made a quick return, without him having to completely spell it out for her. "So, I'm sure she wants to be left alone, but she might need an extra bit of love this week." Terence spoke quietly, making sure that, even if Astoria could hear them talking, his cousin probably wouldn't be able to figure out what they were discussing.
