Astoria bit her lip at his question. She was 22 now. She should be fine by herself but the truth was now that he was here she didn't want to let him go. She nodded weakly, leaning forward to kiss his cheek. She set the drink down on her bedside table, curling next to Terence, taking comfort in his warmth. Terence would be here for her. She could count on him. It almost made her feel guilty about lying to him about Thursday. No, it made her feel incredibly guilty. She needed to get out and didn't want to disappoint him. Hopefully he would understand. She was going crazy.
"Th-Th," she curled her fingernails into her palm, mentally berating herself to get the word out. She had said it before, countless times. She could do this. "Th--I'm glad you're here." Astoria hid her face in his shoulder, not wanting to look at him. Her cheeks were red and she was suddenly tired. There was no telling how long this would last. Sometimes she could calm herself down in a day or two, others she would stop talking for weeks. That was with the Carrows but right not felt about the same.
