He wasn't sure why he had thought that bringing Astoria hot chocolate was a good idea-- perhaps he'd heard somewhere that there was just something about chocolate that made things better. Or maybe it was that women always enjoyed chocolate. Regardless, Terence was trying to be a comfort to Astoria. He couldn't take Daphne's place, as upset with her as he was he didn't know what she would have done for Astoria in that moment, but he could try.
Terence didn't expect Astoria to speak, it always took a bit of time for her to right herself when these sorts of things happened, and he knew that it was incredibly frustrating for Astoria. It was probably best that they didn't talk-- Terence's mind was still somewhat occupied with figuring out all of the sins Daphne had committed against them and the family. He didn't want Astoria dwelling on it. At least she'd taken the cocoa.
When she reached out for his hand, Terence squeezed Astoria's fingers in response, then placed a quick kiss to the back of Astoria's hand. "It will all work out," he said, hoping to give Astoria an extra bit of assurance. He wasn't quite ready to compromise his beliefs or opinions for Daphne yet, but he was sure that they weren't completely done with one another yet.
"Do you want me to stay?" Terence asked, careful to ask questions that didn't really require a verbal response. He felt a bit better about the whole situation after seeing Astoria, but he wouldn't leave if she didn't want him to.
