Terence barely heard Astoria's stammer through the door, but it was all the approval he needed to let himself into her room. Once he stepped through the door, he shut it behind him quietly, knowing that his own presence was intrusion enough for her tonight. But still, he hoped to do more good than harm tonight.
And while he knew that Astoria had to have worked herself into a state if her stutter had returned so suddenly, he hadn't really expected her to seem so utterly broken. His anger with Daphne flared slightly, but by the time he took a seat on the edge of Astoria's bed, it wasn't too obvious. Terence certainly didn't want to make things worse for Astoria right now.
Once he was seated, Terence placed one sealed thermos on the floor by the bed, then opened another. He checked the temperature-- it was still warm, but not too hot-- then gently placed a hand on Astoria's back to get her attention so she could take the thermos. "It'd be a shame for this to go to waste," Terence said quietly, looking down at Astoria as the smell of the cocoa finally hit him.
