The awkward pause Ginny had made upon seeing Percy made his smile flicker. For a second, he thought he was unwelcome, a knee-jerk reaction as a result of the time when he was alienated from his family - being greeted by the same sister who had once angrily thrown mashed potatoes at him was not something he too easily forgot.
"Happy Christmas, Ginny," he told her. "Thank you." Percy leaned forward a tad for Ginny to easier take the gifts and stepped inside, pausing only to stamp the accumulated snow from off his boots. "Am I the last one here? I'm sorry I'm late. I rather lost track of the time."
