Lavender was unsure about all of this, that much was for sure. She liked to know the score before she went into things. Typically, if she didn't know the score she would assume things were as heightened as possible and be prepared for that. With Kegan? Lavender didn't know what to think or how to feel. Her dreams were plagued with awkward situations with the girl or Parvati, neither of which she wanted to admit to. She'd hoped that talking to Michael would make it better. It hadn't. The teasing she'd expected but now she worried about him and his protest at Mungos.
By the time she got the owl Lavender had firmed up her backbone quite a bit. She didn't have plans despite her best efforts and she did actually enjoy spending time with Kegan. Whether there was something weird there or not didn't matter, Lavender Brown didn't do things that could hurt others feelings and she didn't back down.
That didn't mean she showed up to places on time.
Walking in a good fifteen minutes late she was flustered and apologetic instantly. "I am so sorry. I just could not get out of the door. My whole day has been going like this. Hi. How are you?" she asked as she took a seat at the table, taking stock of the pitcher and two glasses.
