The Saturday morning breakfast shift wasn't ideal for tips, but it did mean that she had a few hours of daylight left after she got off work. Normally, she'd have grabbed her sketchbook and headed out, but today, she was playing with a new toy. She'd wandered into a pawn shop last week and had found an old professional camera, the sort you could buy different lenses and flashes for. It only included one of each, but the proprietor had given her a nice deal on it. Today was the first chance she'd had to try it out.
She'd wandered around taking tourist shots for a while, of the various buildings and sites. Now, as the afternoon waned, she'd progressed to taking shots of the streets. She'd taken several shots from her current vantage and she paused a moment, staring down the street for a few moments. As she raised the camera again, a man who'd been some distance away started coming towards her. She focused the camera behind him, adjusting the lens as she waited for him to pass.
