Rose liked it when he smiled like that as though for a moment he forgot who she was and treated her like a friend whom he could relax around. Perhaps it was the knowledge that his horse would be okay in a few days or something else, but regardless she was happy to see it and hoped that whatever caused it kept on happening.
"Well he's smart and you're smart. No one said that all Ravenclaws had to be studious to the point of obsession, it's just a common love of learning that everyone in the house shares. My dad and one of my brothers were in Ravenclaw but then most Zellers are in love with books."
Shifting her weight, Rose wondered if perhaps she'd overstepped the boundaries between them; they didn't know one another well enough for her to pass comment on his life or for her to know that what she said was taken the right way. Colour flushed her cheeks again as she nodded at his statement. "That ah, that makes sense. Not that there's anything wrong with that. My parents weren't big on talking but my brothers and I never stopped. They said I didn't shut up from the moment I came home."
And now she was rambling about the most mundane things, why was it she couldn't stop saying things to him he didn't need to hear or know?
