While Blaise knew it was a horrible idea to ask Ginny out on a real date, he hadn't been able to resist. He had expected her to refuse his offer and had been a little shocked to realise she had agreed. He felt a bit embarrassed by his complete and utter honesty to her while under the influence of the firwhiskey. He had never intended on admitting any of his thoughts or his feelings to her. She was a Weasley.
Taking a portkey to Italy, to one of his favourite restaurants by the sea, he spoke to the owner at great length. Bertelli deLuca was a close family friend and Blaise had dated his daughter for a few years when they were teens. They had parted amicably but Blaise was glad for her absence. She was still notoriously outspoken and he was in no mood to hear her opinions on Ginny or his parting ways with Su.
Arranging the table nearest the large windows overlooking the late evening sea, Blaise sipped wine while he waited for Ginny to arrive. He refused to admit that he was anxious or excited, it was merely another excuse to pick at her and tease her or that was what he kept telling himself. Smiling as she entered the restaurant, he covered the smile with a drink of his wine and motioned for the waiter to bring her over.
Standing as the waiter directed her to their semi private table, he adjusted the cuff link on his white silk shirt and smirked as way of greeting. "I didn't think you were actually coming, Ginger." he said, his voice low.
