There were a few hours before the party still, but everything was ready and prepared as good as it was going to get. Oliver found that he was having trouble staying locked up in the flat any longer. There was nothing for him to do, and nobody was even supposed to arrive for another five hours. He figured that a little distraction would do him good.
A bookstore wasn't the typical place to find Oliver Wood, but there had been a new book released on Quidditch strategy that he wanted to take a look at and, he figured, that if he saw anything that was related to Potions and looked incredibly boring, he could get it for Jonathan as part of his birthday gift. He had gotten him something for his actual birthday, but had released that he didn't have a second gift for the party tonight.
He was feeling a bit lost in the story, however. He ended up wandering up the History aisle, and was peering around for the aisle about Quidditch, only half paying attention to where he was going, when he bumped into a girl that was dutifully looking at the books.
"Merlin," Oliver said, feeling embarrassed as she looked up at him. "I'm sorry."
