"I have strong opinions about a great many things," Gabrielle responded with a smile. "But I am not a critic. I am an artist. I study another's work and think of what I would do differently, but I do not think the artist is wrong for his way. It sometimes bothers me to hear people say how this is not the right angle or brush stroke, or that if this technique had been applied..." She shook her head slightly. "If we are never satisfied with our own, it is at least our own. You may create yours the way you wish, if it speaks to you that way."
She moved along to another work, pausing in front of it. "Take this one. I am not a scholar, I cannot tell you exactly when it was made. What I know is what I feel. I think that is more important."
