Blaise wondered for the millionth time what he was doing meeting Ginny Weasley at a random muggle pub, but the truth was that he felt some weird connection to the former Gryffindor. She didn't bite her tongue or stroke his ego like other witches and she was quick witted. He had spent a lot of time thinking about the situation and staring at the brand on his arm when he had been at home in Italy. The beach and the water had done little to ease his mind and actually talking to Ginny had done more than the whole week in Italy had done.
He made an attempt to dress like a muggle even though his trousers and shirt were far too tailoured to be muggle. He knew Su was going to be very angry with him and he couldn't blame her. He couldn't explain why he couldn't talk to Su about his feelings, he assumed it had something to do with his feelings for her and his desire to protect her. He could talk to Ginny because he had no attachments or feelings for her and really didn't care whether she was safe at the end of the day or not.
Apparating to the street the pub sat on, he walked the last block to the muggle establishment and pushed open the door. Scanning the interior of the pub, he spotted Ginny easily and moved to stand next to her at the bar. "Scotch." he said to the bartender and eyed the drink Ginny held in her hand. "What in Merlin's name is that?" he asked with a bit of a sneer.
