WHO: Eva and Open WHEN: Monday Night WHERE: Diagon Alley WHAT: Queen of bad ideas is on the prowl RATING: TBD
It wasn't the best of ideas to begin with. Stumbling out of the leaky cauldron filled to the brim with the whiskey that had topped off the two muggle pubs she had been to earlier. That hadn't been the only thing that she had ingested that evening but it was the only thing she'd be willing to admit to in a court of law. That in and of itself was perhaps bad enough. But there was the additional fact that the world she had stumbled into was not one of peace and good tidings or whatever you would like to call it. No, far from that. A dark marked hovered somewhere over a cafe that Eva had no knowledge of, such a thing would have required her to be cognizant of current events and Eva did her best to not be aware of such things.
Her vision blurred slightly and she bumped into a brick wall, the soft silk of her top snagging on the rough wall. Eva stumbled slightly and cursed as she tugged the fabric free, running her fingers over the slight run that appeared in the fabric. Her father had given her the shirt last Christmas and she was rather fond of it. In the background she could her sound of footsteps, other people perhaps doing the smart thing and heading home. Eva though was headed in the opposite direction. She had no destination in mind, just far from home. Her demons were far too close to the surface for that.
She'd spent the greater part of two days wondering how it was that she walked down the street well and good, wearing no mark of misdeed when she deserved to do so far more than half of those that had been branded. Her uncles, oh they deserved it. Everything they were given they deserved and more but she was no innocent. She had- Eva's back collided heavily with the wall and forced a gasp from her lips. She blinked at her own stumble, breathing heavily for a moment. Before clarity threatened to sink over her, Eva sunk her hand into her pocket and fumbled for the plastic baggie that had once contained a small amount of white powder and the last of her paycheck.
