He frowned incredulously as she did manage to lift him off the ground, and raised hands to ward back the bodyguards who surged forwards from their rather conspicuous hiding places around the park. Robbie wasn't being jumped by an overly enthusiastic Death Eater who preferred to hug her victims before doing away with them; he was fine. "You are stronger than you look," Robbie said as he turned to face her. Of the two of them, Alicia was definitely the more touch-feely one. He didn't really ever hug her, she always seemed to initiate them, in her unique 'hoist a man off the ground' kind of way. But he hadn't seen her in a while, not at all since the day she'd been released from Azkaban, and it was this that drove him to lean in to hug her properly, a pat on the back for good measure.
Stepping back, he smoothed his hair, somewhat from the awkwardness, and grimaced-slash-smiled at her words. "I know - me, Senior Undersecretary." He tried not to think of the night Diggory had told him of the unexpected promotion, the way the older man had been so sure their road ahead would be smooth, that he'd even be on the road ahead.
"How are you, anyway?" he said, quickly changing the subject despite the knowledge that if Alicia wanted to talk about it - the Ministry and everything that included - she'd swing it right back. She was entitled to, he just wasn't going to ask for it. He dropped his eyes to check her out, visually assess whether she really had put on weight or if she'd just been exaggerating like most women seemed to do. "So where's the extra weight then?"
