There were times Alicia wondered why she kept such a hold on the muggle world. There were few fond memories of it, more than enough bad ones and only a father she hadn't spoken to in years that tied her there. Still, she always rented from muggle landlords and did her best to eat at muggle eateries. It was nice to have the reminder to remember where she came from. A reminder she wasn't insane for getting so bogged down with everything the Wizarding world was. Muggle life wasn't perfect but after a war it was a nice break. After Azkaban it was a necessity.
Alicia was always restless. It was one of her more annoying qualities and it meant she spent most of her spare time doing something. In Hogwarts it was running around the lake to expel some energy. Now it was running to forget everything. Robbie seemed to have the same idea and she was happy to have an excuse to get out of the flat.
"Careful mate, you're blocking out the sun," she said cheerfully, coming up from behind him, hugging him around the middle and arching her back to lift him in the air a bit. He was heavier than he appeared. "So, I leave for a few days and you become a big wig government man. Sell out." Her voice was cheerful, belying the troubling aspect of her statement she didn't want to think about.
