Who: Susan Bones and Lavender Brown What: Dinner, talking, bonding Where: Casa de Bones When: Tuesday evening, 7:30ish. Rating: PG13 for language at most
Susan only felt calm nowadays when she was doing one of three things. Okay four, but painting was implied. She was an artist after all. But aside from the obvious: yoga, cooking, and gardening were the only things keeping Susan sane while in the house. She had been avoiding cleaning out all of the rooms that needed it. Instead it was easier just to busy herself with other activities. Besides, she was living with Lav now. Her best friend was pregnant and being chased by a crazed werewolf. She so did not need to witness Susan crying and wallowing in self pity over family artifacts.
She had finally come to a decision for dinner, and whipped together fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken, fresh salad and veggies, and garlic breadsticks. It still involved chicken, but in a different manner. Pulling the breadsticks out of the oven, she set the mitt and pan down before flicking her wand at the stove top to keep the spoon mixing the pasta. She had already set up their dishes, silverware, and other essentials on the large island counter in the kitchen. Rarely did she use the large table in the cavernous dining room. It was just the type of space you used for more than three people, or not at all.
Placing the breadsticks in a lined basket, she set it along side the tossed salad and went to finish up the main course. Lav would be home soon and after such a long day the poor girl deserved a fantastic and delicious dinner. She sincerely hoped her friend liked it.
