Steve listened quietly while Ginny spoke. He liked to listed. When he was listening, he was comfortable. In a two-person conversation someone else was looking at him, but in a three plus person conversation he could slip a little further into the shadows. He'd never been all that great with expressing himself through words.
He smiled briefly at her comment. Steve had never minded people poking fun at him, but that was perhaps due to his closest friendships. Or maybe it was just guy-friendships in general. Steve had gone through Hogwarts at the end of many jokes, and it had never really bothered him. It was fun. "S'pose in our world, yeah. Never needed to fly, though. Dad's a hunter, I'm a hunter. Horses come in handy; they don't spoke the animals like a flying broom would. Plus, hunting's not exactly segregated. Muggles and wizards hunt the same forest." Talking about hunting was literally the only thing Steve could do without backtracking and stumbling over his words. He'd been hunting for as long as he could remember.
