Emma made a face. "I don't think I'm the girl to be asking that. I mean, we're mates, but I haven't seen him much lately. He's busy with Eva and Natalie." She couldn't begrudge him time with his daughter, but there were still tiny fits of jealousy over Eva in his mind, especially since she wasn't really sure she liked Eva. Not that she knew Eva, of course.
"I totally missed when he disappeared for a day," she admitted. "He's been so in and out in the shop I just chalked it up to him being busy or some such, and we kept on keeping on. I probably ought to poke at him, yeah?"
