Tracey gave a short, mirthless laugh. "I hope they don't!"
My, but her coffee certainly looked appetizing for the moment there, didn't it? She took another healthy sip. Appearances had been deceiving; it wasn't any temperature that might be construed as delicious. In fact, it was rather disgusting, and nothing could keep her from making a face as she finally swallowed it down.
"Oliver..." Tracey hesitated as she searched for the words, her eyes turned up to the ceiling. It was clear that while she might have been upset by the goings-on in her relationship, she still wanted to talk about it. So few people asked after her anymore, and when they did, she was hardly the type to bring up her relationship. Or her "relationship".
"So few people in the world are as stupid as that man. I'm telling you, it's some sort of divine intervention that he hasn't already managed to off himself by complete accident. Natural selection is really dropping the ball on this one."
