Zabini IV
The Head Inquisitor raised her brow at such a preposterous suggestion of proving anything innocent about Blaise Alessandro Zabini that her monocle fell from in front of her eye and clattered on the podium. She waited, patiently, drumming her fingers together, watching Ms Bobbin attempt to make her case.
"Framed!" The robed figures of the Wizengamot all whispered their scoffing but she silenced them with a raised hand. The sooner she discredited the upstart solicitor, the sooner she could leave for her week-end.
Quieting the crowd again took much more effort as everyone had an opinion on what had just been presented. Madame Inquisitor took the file and opened it, still eyeing the solicitor and her client. Pursing her lips together, she turned a page, and then another, seeing the discrepancies for herself. "Call the Department of Mysteries, we'll have someone down here to verify this file." There was a hint of doubt in her tone but the sinking feeling in her stomach couldn't be ignored. She passed the new evidence to her right, allowing the other members to look through it.
"In light of this new evidence we will call a ten minute recess." Waving her hand around the dais, she cast a privacy charm and called Ms Bobbin forward. "We will authenticate the file and then you will explain to me how it came to be in your possession. I certainly hope no laws were broken in the process."
