Zabini, I
Mathilde had fought to get into the courtroom. It was a circus in here. That was fitting, the accused were animals and deserved to be treated as such. She was a small woman, easily navigating through the throng of spectators. Some of them were speculating on the outcome of the trial, taking bets. She hated them just as much as the men on the stand. How dare they make a mockery of the situation. The Nott boy had proclaimed his guilt, now there was just this one. Zabini didn't even have the grace to look ashamed of his crimes, unlike Nott.
Making her way to the front of the crowd, Mathilde put a hand over her pregnant belly to protect the child within from being jostled too much. While she was usually a mousy figure, today her anger made her stand tall as she called out over the railing. "You killed my husband!" she shouted at Zabini's unmoving form. "My baby won't know his father. How many other innocent lives did you take? How does that make you feel? Muggle killer!"
The last phrase was taken up by someone beside her. "Muggle killer!" a wizard shouted, and suddenly the stands buzzed with agreement.
