TRIAL SET FOR BREAKOUT SUSPECTS LONDON -- After accusations that the Ministry has been dragging its feet in making progress in the breakout of Azkaban, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement has made an admirable comeback, detaining and charging two wizards determined to have been involved in the deplorable events of last week. Though it is still unclear whether purebloods Blaise Zabini, step-son of a death eater (one of several who escaped in the recent breakout), who himself spent a year in Azkaban for bearing the dark mark; or Theodore Nott, son of infamous death eater Edmund Nott, were directly involved in the escape, the Ministry has set an open trial for Saturday 20 August, during which the charges against these two men will be made clear. Purebloods Stephen Cornfoot and Isaac Montague, also held on suspicions for potential involvement in the escape, were released soon after their arrests, as no evidence could be found linking them with the breakout. Pureblood Bastian Dunstan, also arrested yesterday, has not yet been formally charged, and the Prophet has been informed that he will not be included in Saturday's trial. Readers interested in attending the trial may send self-addressed envelopes with owls to the Wizengamot Support Staff. Seating will be limited. |
