Cho sat back as Melinda flipped through the file. "They're not after the truth anymore, Mel," she said. "They just want to hurt us."
She felt so helpless. Things were spiraling out of control, and she was in the middle of it, filing papers and smiling at the very people the Ministry used as its pawns.
She tried not to think about the fact that, well, staying where she was, doing what she did, she was one as well. At least it felt that way.
"They're just not interested in the truth or who are or what we've done. They just want to - well. What do they want? That's the real question."
