Startled, Theodore didn't immediately return the hug, but after a few heart-beats surprise, he parted fingers long enough to set his palm on her back. "It's fine," he lied. "I'm fine." He doubted very much anything was fine. His father's legacy had finally caught up with him, and no amount of stiff upper-lipping as going to change anything. He would be lucky to escape the Ministry with a brand, and he'd forever be marred by bad decisions he'd never agreed with.
"There is simply nothing to know. I had no idea there was an escape from Azkaban until the Daily Prophet finally conceded to print about it. My home was searched. I have done nothing. I know nothing." He chewed his lip a bit, feeling a sense of profound irony at being on the receiving end of legal services.
"They haven't told me what I am charged with yet. I suppose they haven't told you either."
