Who: Astoria Greengrass and Theodore Nott What: Their usual lunch takes an unexpected turn. Where: London When: August 17th
There was no such thing as a simple day anymore. You couldn't trust the ones you had. Something always seemed to be happening and none of it was any good. The people you thought you knew might as well be strangers and those you trusted were letting you down. There was still a few things she could hold on to. The honor of her family, Terence's protection and weekly lunch with Theodore. He was the one person in her life that had never let her down. That meant something to her. Perhaps it was a high pedestal asking to be knocked over but he was a gentleman, a believer in the old ways and a constant reminder of her own sanity.
With her face all but healed she was willing to go in public again. Not that she ever felt completely safe, especially with violent maniacs on the loose but she also trust Theo to keep her safe. He wouldn't sit by if she were to be attacked. At the very least he'd create a diversion.
"I'm glad you could make it to lunch today. Not sure I could have waited until Thursday. The whole world is on a mission to make me mental it seems. Not that it's treating you much better. Did those brutes say anything after they finished snooping through your things?" She knew they couldn't have found anything. Theo wasn't the type to harbor criminals or condone such violent acts.
