"It isn't fair that I neglected one part of my life to focus on other parts." He dropped a kiss on her jawline and laid aside the papers. He wasn't nosey and he wouldn't pry where she hadn't given him permission to. She was married to another man and he had no right even though he felt like their relationship gave him some rights.
"Tell me." He said softly as he resisted the urge to touch her, it wouldn't help the need to talk if he started touching. "Is everything alright?" She looked a little nervous and unsure. He reached out and linked their hands. "We have known each other for so long that it is pointless to worry about secrets. You can tell me anything." He turned toward her as he waited for her to talk to him.
