WHO: Luna Lovegood and Hermione Granger WHEN: Friday, 12th August, noon WHERE: Hermione's flat, London WHAT: Meeting up to work on the tracking charms, but mostly friends staying safe
Luna was grateful that there was an alley near to Hermione's flat that she could quietly Apparate to, close enough that she wouldn't have to use up any Polyjuice potion for the short walk; a simple glamour changed her appearance enough. The short dark hair swished against her neck lightly, and though she enjoyed the feeling, the cool air buffeting her skin just above her shirt collar refreshingly, she did miss her long blonde tresses. Fortunately, the glamour could be removed with only a swish of the wand.
She skipped up the steps towards Hermione's small flat, brushing the fringe across her forehead at the unfamiliar tickling above her eyebrows, and stared wide-eyed at the reflection in a nearby shiny surface as she waited for the knocks on Hermione's door to be answered. It was wonderfully strange to look so different and yet slightly familiar at the same time. Was this what siblings felt when they looked at each other? she wondered idly.
When Hermione answered the door, Luna made sure to show the girl her butterbeer cork necklace, and then Ministry brand, as proof of her identity and held up the bottle of gillywater that she'd promised to bring. One could never be too certain of the lengths the escaped Death Eaters, or in fact even the Ministry these days, would go to in order to trick a person and gain access to their homes.
