Nate didn't want to push Lavender one way or the other about Michael, so he just filed away how she felt and figured it'd come up again someday. He knew from experience that just putting away one's feelings didn't really work as well as it sounded like it should. And he'd gotten lucky with his... maybe she could get lucky someday as well.
But at her last words, he winced, his expression rueful as he shook his head. "That's complicated, Lav. Two blokes, and Luag's pureblooded. We actually--" He sighed. "We want kids, yeah. Soon, really. We actually asked Trina if she'd be willing to carry Luag's baby, so it'd be like it was both of ours, since it'd be my nephew by blood and all, but she's dating this pureblood bloke and it's just not going to work out."
And then there was Pansy, which Nate still didn't know quite what he thought about it. The idea still didn't feel right to him, but he also felt guilty enough that it gnawed at his stomach when he thought about it. "The hard part is finding a witch that Luag and I both are comfortable with, and who's interested in having a baby that isn't hers," he said quietly. "I'm not even sure which part of that is more difficult."
