The planning for the event had been a bit last minute with everything that had been going on. Luag was just happy to be back to his normal self. That really was enough for a celebration. The decorations were simple enough. He had gotten corn husks and grains from farmers who were more than willing to get rid of them or swap for something he had to offer. There was plenty for decorations and crafts and he had added some balloons for the twins. Cody had been great help with setting up that and the games, even if he kept getting distracted in trying to make Nate change the colors of the stalks to make it more 'festive'.
The games were meant for all ages, ranging from sack tosses and foot races, with crowns that Nate had made for the winners that were hidden in a closet considering the way Cody kept eying them. At Cody's request, he had figured out a way to do a sheep race. He still wasn't sure how good an idea it was, but to see Cody smiling and laughing easily after the past few days of wary looks was enough to convince him to do anything. They had spent a good amount of time out in the sheep pen, setting up a long chute, and then with Cody's direction, charming the sheep different colors and spelling numbers on their sides. He had grabbed a bunch of knuts to give the children (and adults) to bet with.
There were baskets set out for a bilberry picking expedition for all those interested. The tables inside and out were covered with breads and jams as well as bannocks and crowdie. There was cider to drink as well as stronger beverages for the adults. The wards around the lake were still set up so that people wouldn't get too close. He wasn't sure if anyone would actually want to go swimming. While it was a nice day for the Hebrides, it was still rather cool at 17 degree celsius. But if people asked, he'd figure something out.
