Nate linked his fingers with Luag's, his thumb stroking idly against Luag's skin. Sometimes reminders could be good things, and sometimes not, and he really never could quite tell where anything stood with Luag's mother, except when she was upset. So he kept his tongue on that sentiment, rather than say the wrong thing entirely.
"He might've changed his mind, when he saw how happy you are," Nate murmured, turning slightly to nuzzle Luag's jaw, simply because he could. "You've an heir now. And you'll have other children, eventually, when we get it sorted. You're still carrying on tradition, and brilliantly, and you're a happy bloke. That's all good, right?"
