She would be lying if she said she hadn't been sick to her stomach for the better part of two days in preparation for this date. When she thought about it, it was just silly. It was George, she knew George, had traveled halfway across the world with George. Why was this any different? It was though, entirely different. It was asking more of her than Eva was certain she had to give. She'd loved Steve, loved him. But that didn't mean she could be with him. She was only any good at bringing people right down with her not what anyone should get from love.
But he was insistent. And it was the fact that he- understood. She couldn't deny the appeal of that anymore than she could deny that she'd missed him over the past week.
She'd dressed as he had suggested and had done her best to work her way through the treasure map he'd sent her. It was a- adorably charming thing to do. She couldn't help but smile as she reached each new destination. It was painful not to eat the scones that smelled so delicious. But the field she found herself in last was... just beautiful.
Eva had her head ducked, trying to hide the smile on her face. The pleasure of the moment was making her forget her worries over it all. And she- was thankful for that. She approached the blanket and finally did lift her chin and let him see the smile on her face. The look on his face only making her smile wider. "Wasn't sure I was ever going to find you."
