Who: Eva Montgomery and George Weasley When: Saturday, 9 July Where: A meadow with rainbows and unicorns for a picnic. What: The big first date. Rating: Totally innocent for once.
So, subtle, hmm? George could do subtle. He was aiming mostly for sweet and fun with this set up. He wanted it to be an example of what giving them a serious try could be like.
The treasure map would lead Eva to Diagon Alley and The Closed In Cafe—were an already paid for, to-go-order of scones were ready for them. Then the map sent her to The Distillery and Winery outside Ottery St. Catchpole, where there was a nice bottle of wine waiting to be picked up.
And lastly, the map instructed her to tap the scroll three times with her wand to activate the portkey early, and it sent her on along to a picnic blanket in one of old Mr. Ruther's cow pastures (conveniently empty of cows) and a basket. On top of the basket were a bouquet of wild flowers. George was standing off to the side of the blanket, a sort of nervously excited look on his face.
