"Do you always make things up at random or am I the lucky recipient of a lack of sleep and too much paperwork?" She was not in the brawl. Nor did she have ash on her clothes. She was the owner's daughter, the idea of her sitting in the middle of the stands was preposterous. "Talk to MAB apparently. Oh, the intrigue." Astoria fought not to roll her eyes, refusing to give the the satisfaction of having her act like a common thug.
"I am not an idiot, sir." Astoria raised one perfectly manicured brow at his little outburst. She was dealing with a child. No wonder the Ministry was in the shape it was. "I believe I treated you with respect when I talked to you politely. When I apologized for the need for you to come to the stadium and when I thanked you for your service. I am sorry if you did not find my words sincere but I doubt anything I could say on my behalf would change your opinion." This oaf was not going to get the best of her. She would remain dignified even if all she wanted to do was throw her water at his face. "And I hardly saunter." Everything else he said was ludicrous.
She did not like what that implied. The fear from her previous benefactor too fresh to take such things lightly. If the fear flashed through her eyes than so be it. She had bigger worries to deal with. "I'm afraid you have no choice," she said, rising quickly with her chin up and shoulders squared. "Good day."
