WHO: Alicia Spinnet and Robbie Stebbins WHEN: BACKDATED to Friday WHERE: Robbie's flat WHAT: Alicia knows why Robbie has been hiding RATING: Moderate for her foul mouth
Alicia wasn't sure what to think. Normally she'd be furious and break something or drink herself into oblivion but right now she was stuck in an odd sort of numbness. She missed the anger. Padma said he obliviated her and Alicia didn't doubt that. Perhaps she should, perhaps she should be fighting harder for her friend's honor but he was hiding something from her. It didn't help that the man the beat him up she would also consider a friend. Not nearly as dear to her as Robbie but Michael was a good bloke, albeit a hot head like her. So she stayed numb. Trusted her gut and years of friendship on the fact that Robbie had a reason to do what he did.
No, he never should have oblivated someone but these were strange times. Maybe he did it because she asked. Maybe he did it because she knew information that could get people killed if the wrong person found out. They weren't good excuses but they were straws she was clinging to so that one of her best friends wasn't a bad guy. She trusted him with her life, something she did with a rare few and she couldn't accept that she had been so horribly wrong. If she had been wrong what would that mean? He really wanted her branded and imprisoned? He had oblivated her in the past? These were realities she couldn't accept.
For the first time in her life she was trying to be rational. She wanted to hear both sides of the story so she could understand what was going on. Robbie was her friend. Robbie was a great man and he couldn't be the Ministry monster Padma and Michael clearly made him out to be. She just needed to understand what had happened. Alicia knocked on the door sharply, waiting for him to open up. He barely had time to open the door before her first words were out of her mouth. "I know about Padma." It was his turn to speak.
