Theodore spared her fingers a glance but took little comfort in the gesture; he'd been born into a fairly loveless environment, and though he appreciated physical contact (in spite of how little he had as a child), he didn't allow himself to be comforted by veritable strangers. He also didn't allow himself to need comfort, but that boundary was a little murkier, given the waywardness of the human psyche. Regardless of whether or not he was discontent, frustrated, or otherwise, he led one of his fingers rise up and trap hers between his knuckles. A small smile, and then he released her to indulge in more wine. He was going to be finished before the meal even got here at this rate. Luckily, he wasn't far from home. No worries about apparating under the influence.
"What have you been doing, Miss Bones, to keep you so out of contact?" His eyes glinted, mouth taking a turn for the mischievous. "Spying in a foreign country? Advising to the Minister for Magic?"
