Internally, Susan knew she was being judged. It didn't bother her, but she knew it was happening because it happened all the time when she was honest about her views on the world. The fact was she hated everything that was going on and she was more than willing to speak out or go up against it. But there had to be a correct time. She knew it was pretty much impossible to change anything by herself, as ideal as it would be. Going and getting herself branded for some stupid reason such as running her mouth or hexing a Ministry official wasn't going to get her anywhere anytime soon.
"But..." Susan stated, giving him a small smile and shaking her head. He didn't need to finish the sentence on his own, because she was well aware of the word that usually followed. Leaning back into the sunshine, she shook out her long hair before reaching forward and taking her glass. "I understand your concerns, but you're not the first suspected terrorist I've ever spent time with. I know what could happen and I understand the risks involved." It was a simple and matter of fact statement that she didn't feel the need to expand on. "But I do appreciate your concern." After she finished, a server walked outside and set their food in front of them, making sure everything was fine before departing once again.
"Either way, I'm glad you agreed to join me today. Going out on your own is nice and all, but when you're on your own constantly it can get a little lonely."
