Susan watched inconspicuously as he read his menu, taking in small details about him that made her fingers itch to grab a pencil. His sharp, yet perfectly balanced features would look marvelous on a page and she yearned to breathe life into it even though the real man was sitting across from her. She settled for tracing lines lightly on the tablecloth while he read, however. When he spoke, her focus on what she was doing was broken and she looked over with a slight smile twitching at the corner of her lips. "Of course, help yourself," she said lightly, leaning back in her seat and stretching a bit. Susan didn't mind things like smoking, but she found it rather endearing that he asked beforehand. Many other men would have no regard for the wishes of a woman they just met and the feeling was rather refreshing. She really didn't understand why people like him were branded STs, they didn't deserve it. Not one bit and the thought made her angry as all hell.
Within a few moments, Ingrid walked up to the table they were sitting at with a flourish. She was a short woman, barely standing above five feet but what she lacked in height she made up for in presence. The minute she entered a room attention shifted to her graceful movements and bold posture. The woman was old now, showing signs of being somewhere in her late sixties, but her unmistakable beauty was still there. Her hair was extremely long and a certain shade of white and blonde that made Susan quite sure the woman had some veela in her bloodline somewhere. It was probably from her mother, which would be the reason Ingrid never mentioned it, her mother had abandoned her at a young age and Ingrid had abandoned all feelings of her when it happened. Or so Aunt Amelia had explained to her one day long ago. "Ello my sweet girl, I 'ave not seen you around recently. It is nice, yes?" Giving a smile, she patted Susan's shoulder and smiled at Theodore kindly, her eyes crinkling in the corners.
"It iz nice to see you vith a friend as well," she muttered in her ear, making Susan swat her away, her face starting to blaze red. "Anyvay, what would you like to eat?"
Quickly placing her order for wine, any wine, a turkey club and minestrone soup she waited for Theodore to decide what he wanted.
