"The question is—who's paying the solicitor?" George sighed, a bit baffled by it all. He supposed he could owl the solicitor back and request a meeting, maybe get a little more information on Emma's behalf. He was jostled out of his thoughts by Emma's words.
"Hey," he said, leaning forward to grip her by her upper arms. "Of course I do. I doubt you've done anything wrong. This is likely some misunderstanding, yeah?" He hoped it was, at least.
