Nate couldn't help but smile at Luag's obvious pride. "It's hard for a Muggle to accept magic. I could-- I could introduce her to my mum, if you'd like. Or to Trina. Although it was easier for Trina; she was younger and just accepted that it was how life was. But my Mum had to understand that I had this thing that made no sense to her."
The small circles on Luag's back resumed, just enough pressure to remind him that Nate was there and not letting go. "Sounds like he's an Animagus in the making. And between us we've got a lot of skill in Transfiguration, so we can help him control it. That's what she wants--that he learns how to do it only at the right times, and not just because he's upset. She'll be proud of him then, too, I bet."
