She watched as he got the horse ready but allowed him to do most of the work. It was better to let someone experienced do this sort of thing instead of risking the chance of mucking it up. "Oh, I'm well aware of that from experience. One dog and boom, I'm off the horse and on the ground. Not the most pleasant of feelings, I assure you." Had broken her arm. It was a quick fix but not an experience she wished to repeat. The bruising had been atrocious. She couldn't wear a skirt for weeks.
With the horse tied up she moved to sit on the post. It was perhaps too comfortable of her but she was tired of standing in the dirt. She wanted to watch Theodore interact with the creature. It was different seeing him like this. It brought out his nurturing side in a way she had not been exposed to before. He would be an excellent father one day.
"Do we feed her now? You can do it if you'd like. I tend to avoid spit that isn't my own."
