"I wouldn't get your hopes up too much," she said dryly, eying the horses with caution. "Please don't forget that you're supposed to have fun too. Don't let me hold you back. If you get tired of walking me through this I will have just as much fun watching you do your thing." From a safe difference away from creatures that could try to chomp at her.
She followed him without much reservation. "It is quite lovely out here, isn't it? Minus the flies." Horses always seemed to attract flies. She was sure to watch where she stepped. There would be no hiding her disgust if she managed to get caught in droppings. She tried to force the negative thoughts away. She was with a good friend on a beautiful day. He'd make sure nothing happened to her and this was fun. It would be fun.
