"What are the chances. You can have that." Potter gestured to the drink that Corner had already claimed and shifted in his seat a bit and glancing at the row of bottles behind the counter, wondering if he should switch to something harder before this conversation got heated.
Michael's problem, so far, had been the Resistance's failure to act, the infighting the lack of trust and the frustration of stagnation. At least, those were the problems that Harry could recognise. He also felt that Michael just sort of hated him a little bit for no reason, but that was something he really didn't care about. Michael was chalking himself up to be one of Harry's least favorite people, but that didn't matter when it came to something like this. Standing up and standing together was far more important than whether or not he thought Michael Corner was douche water.
"I have a plan." He wasn't going to waste Michael's time with conversation about the Resistance and who needed to be in it and who shouldn't be. Given the recent responses to his journal by people like Alicia Spinnet, as far as he was concerned, the Resistance was over. It was filled with too many people who wanted to bitch expectantly at him, complain about other members or snot at him for the tone he took after explosions went off in Diagon Alley.
Harry did not want to waste his time proving himself to people. He didn't want to waste his time explaining to expectant mothers why standing against a powerful force was dangerous and they shouldn't be involved in fighting. He didn't want to explain to hot-headed vigilantes that murder was bad either, but of all the people he's spoken to recently--strange at it seemed--Michael was one of the few that, though he disagreed with some of what Harry was saying, seemed ready to set aside those disagreements in the interest of getting things done.
"The tracking charms have to go first, and I think I've worked out--well, the means, if not the method--to do it." Hermione, Harry decided, could figure out the method. He was positive that there was no tangled charm that she couldn't unravel.
