The laughter roused her more fully from her sleep, thoughts of slumber fading fast. Ang's voice carried through the flat to where she lay on the lino and with a tilt of her head spotted the cupboard which held an array of coloured mugs, cups and glasses. She was familiar with Angelina's kitchen just as the other two were with hers - their friendship ran too deep for them not to be comfortable in one anothers homes but the cupboard lay too far from her reach.
"Can't reach," came the plaintive response as she wondered where her wand had gone. It would have come in handy about now and with a groan from her thumping head, Katie pulled herself up and to her feet to grope blindly for the cupboard and tap. Water sluiced out and she drank two cupfuls before picking out the lethal pin caplets that would lesson the noise in her head.
"We're lethal when we dance. We should come with a warning." Looking round, Katie was relieved to spot the kitchen empty because pulling on the kitchen floor was something she'd never truly live down. "Not in here? How about where you are? And Spinnet. Did she hog the bathroom again?"
